- What is PAN? - PAN is a 10 digit alpha numeric code issued by the Income Tax Department
- Who issues PAN card? -The Income Tax Department has delegated this power to NSDL and UTI, who on the behalf of IT department and under the supervision of CBDT issues the PAN card.
- Validity- PAN Card is valid for the lifetime and requires no renewal.
- Nationality- PAN can be obtained by both Indian and Foreign Nationals.
- Income Tax Return- PAN is required for payment of Direct Taxes and to file ITR.
